Since upgrading to OS v5.0, each time the device is rebooted, receive "Uncaught exception: ApplicationRegistry.waitfor (0x9850447e783b0596) timeout" message.
Does anyone know if this could be related to a third party app issue or something to this version of the OS (v5.0.0.807)? Is there an relatively easy way to troubleshoot vs. removing and installing each app, one at a time?
Thanks.

Hi there!
I've heard others have had good luck with this...
Go to the home screen. Hold down the key and type 'lglg'. (You will not see anything while you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably many pages) untill you see a line that says 'uncaught execption'. Click on this line. The name of the app will be in the info.
Good luck and let us know!

Any idea which app this may be? Not being a BB developer, appears to be something with a native RIM app; or did I miss something? Thoughts?

Sorry...I've no idea how to interpret those. But, those are different logs than I directed you to, are they not?

Yes, these are different. Out of all of the error messages found, here's the only error message matching the "pop-up:" S Java Exception - RuntimeException (NOTE: There were 2 occassions of it):
Name: RuntimeException GUID: 9c3cd62e3320b498 Time: Sep 14, 2010 09:11:36 ApplicationRegistry.waitFor(0x9850447e783b0596) timeout net_rim_cldc-8(4C3BDDC8) ApplicationRegistry <private> 0x8700 net_rim_cldc-8(4C3BDDC8) ApplicationRegistry getOrWaitFor 0x81E9 net_rim_bb_ptx_app_library(4C3BECF4) PTxMessageStore getInstance 0xFBB net_rim_bb_ptx_ptsmi(4C3BECF9) PTSMIApplication <init> 0x468 net_rim_bb_ptx_ptsmi(4C3BECF9) PTSMIPackageManager libMain 0x54E
However, the following errors were also found S Java Exception - IllegalStateException:
Name: IllegalStateException GUID: 9c3cd62e3320b498 Time: Sep 14, 2010 09:29:33 The Player is closed net_rim_cldc-22(4C3BDDC8) BasicPlayerImpl chkClosed 0x32E net_rim_media(4C3BDE11) StreamingMediaPlayer getDuration 0xA1BF net_rim_media(4C3BDE11) PlayerImpl$MediaTimeEvent getTime 0x7B33 net_rim_media(4C3BDE11) StreamingMediaPlayer setMediaTime 0xA880 net_rim_media(4C3BDE11) StreamingMediaPlayer$1 run 0xB34C
...As well as these:
Then 4 occassions of the event S Java Exception - ConnectionClosedException show:
Name: ConnectionClosedException GUID: 9c3cd62e3320b498 Time: Sep 14, 2010 09:13:54 Connection closed net_rim_io_impl(4C3BDE20) TcpServerConnection checkForClosed 0x3362 net_rim_io_impl(4C3BDE20) TcpServerConnection acceptAndOpen 0x310B net_rim_os-3(4C3BEC3C) HttpServerSocketConnectionBase acceptAndOpen 0x4D8C net_rim_bb_browser_push(4C3BEC8C) WAPPushSource$WAP20RunThread doAcceptAndOpen 0x4421 net_rim_bb_browser_push(4C3BEC8C) WAPPushSource$WAP20RunThread$WAP20AcceptAndOpenThread run 0x49F3
Believe the FB app may also be causing an issue; found the following error: E Facebook - BBRequest Error: java.io.IOException: Could not find a service book entry for IPPP
All of this is after having wiped the device clean, reinstalling OS5 and restarting the device w/o third party apps installed and the message did not disappear. Therefore, one can only presume its not a third party app.
Does this look familiar to you? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I have a 8350i so which key do you hold down on whick screen. I have tried all keys on the home screen and are unable to get it to work.

If you are getting this exception error there is no need to view the log file. The problem is that the desktop software does not install all the old apps. Open desktop software with the phone connected and install the applications as needed. Installed apps have an "x" and available apps have a "+".
