Hello,

  Two days ago, something occurred that is bothersome. I was sending a url from the browser to someone, and when I began to type the email address, I saw that there were many contact names that I have never entered.

  My default email is gmail, and originally I imported all my gmail contacts. Upon checking my BB Address Book, none of the email addresses I saw when I wanted to send the link were in the Address Book.

  I t hen checked my Gmail Address Book and again, none of those names were in there either.

 My question is twofold:

1) How can I remove the existing unwanted email addresses from my BB, and

2) How can I prevent this from happening again.

Hello jake7363,

Are you able to see the full email address? Do you use Google Buzz? Does the unknown address have Google Buzz in the domain?

You can disable recent contacts by going to Messages>Menu>Options>General Options>Show recent contacts when composing change to No.

No, I don't use Buzz at all, but the "recent contacts" works.

I would like to delete entire contact list without doing it one person at a time. Is there any shortcuts?

Hello mitch67,

You can use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to clear out all your Contact entries. KB10167 will show you how.

If you use a desktop program, such as Outlook, you can resynchronize your Contacts back to your device.

I am new to the Support Forum so this may be the wrong place to post.

I have an address that I did not save in my Contact list that only shows up when I select the first couple of letters when addressing an email. "Canadian-Pharmacy". I am not able to delete the address since it is not in my Contact list. I am using a BB Torch with the current software. I could not follow the solutions suggested on this thread. Any assistance will be appreciated.
