Having a really odd issue. We have a Microsoft Lync 2010 server. Federation with yahoo appears to be working as we can add yahoo contacts, IM and see presence information with them. This all works when the yahoocontact is using Yahoo messenger on a desktop.
If that contact signs into his yahoo account from a blackberry (Yahoo Messenger for Blackberry), no go. The user never shows up as online and of course we cannot IM each other.
Any ideas, is anyone else experiencing this? I call Microsoft and they say its not a lync server issue as communication with yahoo users is working. Yahoo said blackberry owns the yahoo client and customizes the code for the blackberry phones and they should have an answer. Lots of finger pointing, no resolution.
