torch 9860 software bundle 2406

I have tried to start the software update 2460 but it has just frozen on teh backup process...i pulled the battery and started the phone again and it started the backup straight away (didnt have to put pin in even) and it worked fine and then got stuck in the same place (on 'social feeds' part of backup). I have no idea what I can do as now have absolutely no use of my phone!! please help!!

Hey si1k_sing3r,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

 

I can definitely help you out.  I would suggest performing a selective backup prior to the update of your BlackBerry®. Go into BlackBerry® Desktop Manager and click on Device>Backup>Custom.  Choose everything except social feeds and then backup should be created successfully.

 

Proceed with the update without creating a backup (when prompted).  Once the update is completed, restore the backup file you created.
