Try this... Go to Blackberry World. See if you can unistall the Messenger. If you can, uninstall it, restart the phone, and then reinstall it back.


I am speculating with this. I have done this with some other programs, but not with the messaging. software.


A more drastic procedure would be to re-install the operating system. This is easy to do with the Link software. Make sure your data is backed up before proceeding.
