WhatsApp on the Z10

I have been trying to download WhatsApp on my Z10 since its release a couple of days ago, however it does not show up in AppWorld when I search for it. When I tried downloading it from the website, it did not recognize a valid BlackBerry browser, so I followed the link to the app in AppWorld. There, however, the app was 'unavailable for this device'.

I was wondering why this is as I have heard other people have had no trouble downloading and using the app (apart from a few flaws).

Any help would be greatly appreciated as much of my communication is dependent on the availability of WhatsApp!

It has not yet been released for all areas of the world.

Re: WhatsApp on the Z10

I live in the UAE and it appears that it has, in fact, been released in the region. Is there any way to double check this?

Have you received your BB Z10 systems update 10.0.10.90 you need to have at least this update before you can get what'sapp installed on your phone and the design features are not included compare to the OS6 and 7

jtv, this is not the case as of yesterday, as WhatsApp updated their app in AppWorld to included 10.0.9.xx devices.

Re: WhatsApp on the Z10

Cell C has the new Software upgrade "10.0;10;99" which can be downloaded via Wifi!!!

Go to Settings --> Software Updates --> Update...

Once installed, switch off and allow new software to take effect.

Go To WhatsApp website, download and install.

Switch off and reboot for update to take effect!

This will solve the problem!

Re: WhatsApp on the Z10

There's no need to switch the device off before rebooting. Leave it powered on, remove and replace the battery.

And in most cases, the device will perform it's on reboot after a software upgrade on its own.

WhatsApp should be downloaded from BlackBerryWorld. i don't believe it is possible to download from the WhatsApp website.

How is that BlackBerry's problem? You should contact WhatsApp.

That's sorta like hating your daughter because you can't find the perfect party dress for her.
