"There was a connection problem. BlackBerry World must now close"

Hi everyone,

BlackBerry World worked fine until around just now. I don't use it frequently, so cannot so for sure.

Now, I'm getting the error message: "There was a connection problem. Blackberry World must now close". I am using a Q10 stock from T-Mobile (OS 10.1 I believe).

I've tried turning off the phone using the button on top. I went into the APN settings area under mobile network, entered a fake website saved and re-entered fast.t-mobile.com (original value). I have disabled wi-fi.

Any ideas? Is Blackberry Support any good? I guess I'll have to pay, but if I can get resolution, it may be worth it.

Thanks.

Wow...after all of my searching, the answer was in a few posts below. The method described in this post solved the problem for me: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-World/BlackBerry-World-don-t-work/td-p/2329019.

It says that URL is incorrect.

P.S.  Try removing the period at end of URL. :smileywink:

Same problem here. Since I updated my Z10 to 10.2 BB World is not functioning and giving the message "There was a connection problem. BlackBerry World must now close". The workaround mentioned above works to get into BB WOorld. But it does not solve the problem. Anyone another solution?

Re: "There was a connection problem. BlackBerry World must now close"

Tried the procedure given in the mentioned url. Did not work at all. I do get into BB World through the Music and Games "app", but afterwards starting BB World the normal way still gives the same connection problem and shut down of the app. Anybody another solution to get into BB World?

I still have exactly the same problem. BB World did not work at all. Through the ''Games app'' I can update or download the apps but if I try from ''Game app'' go to the BB World, I get a message on a screen ''Requested content not found''
