I have recently bought the new 8520 Curve. However i am unable to access the App world citing incompatibility to my device. Neither am i able to download the third party softwares from the links since eventually they are downloaded through the app world.
I am surprised how this is possible since it's a brand new model. I have checked the Software version and it's updated to Platform V 4.6.1. Please advise.

I would like to add, If i try to download it through the Browser of my BB, it gives the HTTP 404 error, Web page not found.
I fulfill all requirements however. I have a Data plan and updated OS. Please advise.

Oh, and another thing, I am residing in DUBAI, UAE. Middle East.
I did check the availability of the App world and seems this region is not listed there. Surprising though considering the millions of BB users here.

It might be that the last issue is causal to your problem. Your carrier is not supporting AppWorld for their customer base...I would suggest contacting them and asking them the question.
A workaround is, of course, to browse the AppWorld catalog for things you like. Then, you can search for alternate means of obtaining them -- AppWorld is just a big shopping portal, vending apps that are developed by others. While some may have exclusive distribution arranged through AppWorld, many do not...and there are alternative means to obtain them. Search and you shall find, I am sure.
