Re: BB App World icon missing

Thanks JSanders that worked.

Much appreciated after I had wasted an hour of my time trying to get it sorted. Why on earth did the App World development team release such a disastrous version?

Why has it not been withdrawn now that the BB folks know?

I can imagine many people will give up and never have App World again.

Re: BB App World icon missing

So does this mean we can't update AppWorld unless we first update the OS?

Exactly. That will download a slightly older version of AppWorld (4.0.0.55) which is known to work for those whose icon disappeared.

Re: BB App World icon missing

Oh my God,

I just spent hours, deleting the BB app world and reloading, talking to my network provider who could not help me so put me through the "Blackberry" expert team, who got me to wipe out my phone and re-set to factory settings and handed up giving me the RIM phone number because they coul not solve it!!

Needless to say that I really wish I had seen your post at least 5 hours ago, it would have saved me a lot of time>

I downloaded the 55 version and it works perfectly, thank you, thank you, thank you.

It might be a good idea to inform all network providers of the because they seem to be clueless...+ it would save Blackberry users a lot of time and...frustration!!
