BBM Update Critical Fail

Torch 9810 OS 7.1 Bundle 921 on the Bell Network.

I clicked on the update for BBM, the device updated and rebooted and my BBM icon disappeared.  I went in to options, manually uninstalled BBM, rebooted the device, reinstalled BBM and now all I get is a blue screen.

I communicate with all of my field techs via BBM

I'm certainly not a BB hater but you guys gotta stop making it so hard for me to be a BB lover.

Can anyone come up with a fix that doesn't involve resetting my device?

Thanks in advance!

Re: BBM Update Critical Fail

Hi drudderham,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.

Are you seeing the blue screen from within BBM is this happening upon startup? Are there any error messages?

I look forward to your response.

Re: BBM Update Critical Fail

I managed to find a link in another thread which allowed me to download BBM through my browser. This fixed the issue after spending the entire day without BBM.

To answer your questions, the blue screen was within BBM, it was all that appeared upon opening BBM and there were no error messages.

I hope this helps.
