BBM error: Cannot set up once updated

Hi, I recently updated Blackberry Messenger and when opened, it prompted me to type in my Blackberry ID, which I did. However, an error occurred and it said ''Cannot Set Up BM'' ''A temporary BBM server error has occurred.'' How would I be able to fix this? I really need to use BBM and not lose all my contacts. Thanks.

I'm hoping this will resolve itself though.  You could also try to uninstall and reinstall BBM... or to troubleshoot...head to a computer, browse and login at https://blackberryid.blackberry.com/bbid/login/

change your password and try the new password on the bbid prompt on the phone.

I saw that thread, and its a slightly different problem.. Although I did try what they suggested; didn't work.

I will try your other suggestions too and update here, thanks.
