BBM issue, tried very existing suggestion on the forum

[ Edited ]

Hi,

I got a new Curve and swapped from a BIS to a BES subscription at the same time. Unfortunately that means that BBM is no longer working as it should:

- contacts remain in pending (waiting for authorization) status (although the contacts I invited have accepted my request).

- I've been able to add one contact through e-mail invite to BBM (instead of through PIN). He doesn't get my messages (although they say D for delivered), I can receive his messages.

- I tried the solutions put forward in KB12319, doesn't change anything.

- I tried deleting and installing BBM again, no result (the same pending contacts automatically get added to my list, probably due to BB ID)

- There are no restrictions on BBM on the BES-server (checked with IT)

- When I put my SIM in my old BB, BBM works just fine.

- I use BB OS 7.1.0 and BBM 6.2.0.56 (upgrading to BBM 7 is not possible)

So, what else can I do?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Why is this not possible?

When I upgrade to BBM 7 it says that my IT Admin does not support that version so I downgraded again.

OK, so the the comment of "There are no restrictions on BBM on the BES-server (checked with IT)" is not accurate.

You need to upgrade to BBM 7
