I have 1 BBM contact who I've had no problems communicating with for 2yrs. On Jan 1st his icon suddenly changed to "unreachable", without him touching it. His messages arrived but he got no "read" or "delivered" notification. My messages won't reach him at all. Double checked that neither of us had blocked each other. All his other contacts are fine. We have both rebooted, deleted our profiles and attempted to re-add several times. Today I deleted the entire app and reinstalled. Still the problem remains. When we try to re-invite each other we get "pending authorisation" messages, despite both having accepted! I have just managed to send him a message but he has not received anything, he still just has a "pending authorisation" message. Vodafone do not support BBM, they say my phone seems fine. Blackberry want to charge $49 to assist. Can anybody please advise?! Thank you

Hello kathmr and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Is this BBM contact of yours able to add other BBM contacts? Is he in the same country as yourself?
To clarify - you were able to receive messages from him but he is unable to receive BBMs from you?
Would it be possible to get your BBM PIN and his in a private message to myself? I will investigate further for you.
Thanks!

Hello,
I need to have some information about the Blackberry Messenger. I have just heard about the service and I have some questions about it before getting myself a Blackberry. I am from Mauritius and I know that blackberry packages are available in my country from both mobile providers available here. I wanted to know whether I would be able to instant message someone who is abroad with the Blackberry Messenger service, and given the fact that he is from another country and thus uses the mobile provider available in his country, which is different from mine.
Thank you for replying.
