Blackberry Protect - Device Status: ARCHIVED

BB protect status for my device shows as ARCHIVED on the website.

 

How can i change it to Active.

 

Help appreciated.

Trouble using Blackberry Protect

Device: Bold 9780

Service Provider : ZAIN Kuwait

 

Blackberry Protect shows the status "Your wireless service plan does not include Blackberry Protect"

 

I have been taking regular backups using Blackberry Protect and i can see my backups on the Blackberry Protect website. Yesterday i saw an OS upgrade indicator and upgraded the OS. My device wouldnt restart and showed a white screen with error 102. The solution prompted was to connect to my PC and download the latest Blackberry Desktop Manager. On doing the same the device restarted but everything was reset and i lost my address book and everything else on it.

 

Now when i try to restore the backup using Blackberry Protect it says "Your wireless service plan does not include Blackberry Protect"

Im pretty sure its nothing to do with the service plan. I have an unlimited plan and nothing has changed from last week till when i took my last backup.

 

When i check the BB Protect website, my Device shows as ARCHIVED.

Cant i restore my data using Wifi ?

Cant i restore my data remotely from the site?

How can i change the status of my Archived device to active?

 

Hope someone can help me out with this.

If the device has been archived in the past, you can choose Add Device to add it back on Active status.

You have to make sure that your phone still has the Blackberry Protect application and well updated. because if the application is not installed, the phone status on the website will be archived.

The above links says,

 Add Device. This will reset the account, clearing all previously backed up files. An automatic backup will now be performed. 

 

 

I dont want to end up reseting the account and losing my backup from the website.

So i guess this is not the solution im looking for.

i have reinstalled BB protect, so i understand its the latest update.

 

I guess the device shows as Archived coz im not able to connect BB protect from the device to the website.

 

Is there any way to get rid of the issue with BB protect which says "Your wireless service plan......."

If the Blackberry Protect installed on your phone lost its sync with the website, it will automatically show the status of the device as Archived. Please make sure you still have the Blackberry Protect installed on your device to make the status Active.

Can you try to plug the device on a PC and restore it wired?

My Bold 2 slipped into a swimming pool and its nit at all in the working condition. I logged onto blackberry protect website and found my data there but the status of the device is archived. Wen i installed BB protect in my new curve 9360.. in orderto restore the data ,,, it restored everything but the phonebook. It says the phonebook is already synchronised... Kindly help me in transfering the phonebook which is on BB potect website to my new fone.. thnx
