Blackberry Protect for a Blackberry Curve 8310 with AT&T

The people at the AT&T store said I needed to do a backup of my contacts, saved messages, pictures, etc but I can't find the blackberry protect application in my blackberry applications and the computer says "Blackberry Protect is not available for my device model, device OS, Carrier and Country combination. " So how am I going to backup all this information??

No, not for the 8310 model... it's a bit old.
