Have you tried to use your current BB ID to log on to BB Protect on the other device?

The answer given by habbitzz is correct.  Once you log in with the new device, you'll be asked if you want to switch Protect over to the new device's PIN (meaning do you want to start tracking the new device, backing up the new device, etc.)  Simply answer 'yes' and you're ready to go.
