Hi there, I have my BB Torch since 2 days now, but im having some problems with the application Whatsapp.

I downloaded it, filled my phone number in and its working perfectly fine for about 10 minutes. But when im not using whatsapp for about 30 min and i want to send a message to someone, i get the red clock infront of the message and i cant use the application anymore cuz it wont send or receives messages, and my friends say im not even online on it.

Now, when i reinstall Whatsapp, it works for 10 min again, and then everything goes all over again with the red clock messages.

So my question is, what can i do about this, because its a great App.

PS. im using Vodafone with full blackberry internet.

Hello,

I think you can try two things : the soft reboot, and if it does not work, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can't lose data with these two reboots.

Soft reboot :
1) Hit the three following keys at the same time :
- Alt
- Right Shift
- Delete
2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.


Hard reboot :
1) your Blackberry device is on
2) remove the battery and wait for a minute
3) Put the battery back
4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.

It is so weird, because blackberry messenger and MSN messenger everything works perfectly, but many friends of mine use whatsapp...

I really hope someone has a solution for me.

I had the same problem on my BB Bold 9700. Today I found an issue which worked for me :

Install this version of WhatsApp :http://beta.whatsapp.com/ota/ (enter this URL in your browser mobile)

I hope it will solve your problem ! (I triy to solve it since few month).

I can't message people in my contact (All tab).  I'am new to WhatsApp so does the person you want to message need to have the WhatsApp messenger also?

if you want to send a WhatsApp message to someone, that person needs to have a WhatsApp account, have the application installed on their device, and configured.

Specifically, if the person does not have WhatsApp, then your message is NOT converted into SMS.

On the other hand, if you add a person within BBm using only their mobile phone number, you can send that person BBm messages, and those will be translated in to SMS. The person will then receive an SMS, and if they reply to you, the SMS will appear in BBm too.
