Hey Sanders,

Thanks for responding so quickly.  I found another way of ascertaining BB model and OS version.  All you do is go to BBM.  In the message field type "myver" then hit space bar - it automatically comes up.  Mine is 9300/5.0.0.977 (friend of mine who used to work for BB told me this - quite nifty I thought

I also solved Error 80003 with your suggestion - went with option 3.  Thank you!

Anna, please Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

Now, try the suggestions above, again.

Know this one is SOLVED but for others : Same problem faced but found a simpler solution - CONNECT through WIFI n ur golden..WORKED like a charm for me for some weird reason. too much hair loss on this issue though.
