Thanks for responding so quickly. I found another way of ascertaining BB model and OS version. All you do is go to BBM. In the message field type "myver" then hit space bar - it automatically comes up. Mine is 9300/126.96.36.1997 (friend of mine who used to work for BB told me this - quite nifty I thought
I also solved Error 80003 with your suggestion - went with option 3. Thank you!

Anna, please Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
Now, try the suggestions above, again.
