Iv searched and searched and tryed loads of things to sort this out, but ever since the last facebook update (v3) i have lost all notifactions coming through to my phone, i can set them up to arrive as emails and they are coming through on the facebook website just fine but actually notifications on the phone just dont happen at all.

Really strange thing is that normally when i update facebook app the first time i start it i get all my messages again, but with this new update i only get them when i go on the app and open the messages up, its as though the phone/app is ok if requesting things but it isnt picking them up ie the push doesnt seam to work??

Anyone got any ideas at all??

Thanks, iv tried all these but nothing works, still nothing.

Click notifications on the blackberry and it says i have none, go online and there are loads!

Couple of other things have happened over the past week with the dam thing, wish id never got it, and im stuck in a contract too!

I am having the same problems with my native Facebook app on BlacBerry Bold 9790. I think this started since I upgraded to version 3.1.0.17. At first I'd get delayed notifcations, until it got worse and I could no longer get notifications unless I access the app and go to the notifications page and hit refresh.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of information in forums regarding this problem. I've been wondering if the 'fault' is from the network providers or the Facebook app or the OS. I'm running OS 7, by the way (if it has anything to do with the problem. This is so frustrating.

Do tell me if you've already found a solution to the problem, or any input on what's causing this problem.

You can try by login to FB by Blackberry mobile go to Account setting > notification > all notification >then> Pages, edit it and Unmark  >Suggest a page for you.

      Login to Facebook not by your mobile but PC or Laptop, Go to Account Setting > Notifications > All Notifications >  Other Applications > Edit > there you can see Blackberry Smartphone Apps. Please make sure   that it is Marked  otherwise you won't be getting any Notification from Facebook to your Blackberry Smartphone.Try

Thank you for your response. I have tried your suggestion, and it worked for some time but later on, the notifications stopped coming again. I tried calling my network provider but they don't seem to know anything about my issue.

                                Glad that it worked, once the notifications started it will not stop there may be some other reason 

    like network availablity  etc that you are not getting right now. Just wait and see I assure  you that it will not   stop.     Post back if problem persist.

This is getting really frustrating for me, as the notifications stopped coming again. It appears, that when I check the notification setting on a PC (not via mobile), the boxes get unmarked every now and then.

Don't know if this has anything to do with the problem, but just about an hour ago, when I access the Facebook app on my BlackBerry, it give me a 2602 error (Facebook Response Error: tagline is not a member of the event table). I'm guessing there's got to be something wrong with the Facebook server right?

I have un-installed and re-installed the app a couple of times and it doesn't fix the problem at all.

               Sorry for the delay, i can see you have already the answer to your problem as you said every time you check the notification boxes get unmarked on a PC, O.K can you confirm one thing that after marking the box for Blackberry Smartphone Applications their is button SAVE CHANGES did you press it to keep your changes, If possible go through your PC and confirm again cause once somebody Saves a changes it cannot remain unsaved.
           And no need for repeated installing and unstalling just make sure that you have the latest version of Face       book for Blackberry.Go to OPTIONS > DEVICE > APPLICATION MANAGMENT > there check the your installed version is it 3.1.0.17 or not If not update it .
