Hi there!

First, check to see if BBM is still installed. Go to

  • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications

See if it is there. If so, then the icon is likely hidden, has been moved, or something has gone amiss with it. The first thing I'd recommend is a bat-pop reboot:

  • Anytime random strange behaviors creep in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Then see if BBM has returned.

If it is not installed or does not return, then you can use the desktop sotware to re-install it. Just tether and launch the desktop RIM software, then use the Application loader to re-install BBM.

If that does not work, then please return to these forums (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/) and register an account so that we can provide you with direct assistance.
