Foursquare error

Help..... my daughter has downloaded foursquare on my bb and now there's an error msg constantly on the home screen.  Tried rebooting but nothing seems to shift it.  Now i can't get into anything on my phone cos the msg just won't go away.  Anyone any ideas????

Re: Foursquare error

I too am getting the same error after I installed the foursquare app

"The application FourSquare has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your it policy"

That doesn't even make sense, I don't have any IT Policy set on my phone!

Re: Foursquare error

Ok so here is what you have to do. It would seem obvious but I never use the blackberry desktop manager. In the applications section, choose foursquare and select remove, than apply. It should wipe out the app and restart your device and the error will be gone.

Re: Foursquare error

same here.  I went to my carrier's store and even they could not solve it.  removed the battery for at least 2 minutes many times.  the firewall message still there, locking up the phone.  they said the phone is fried, and I would either need to purchase a new phone or use an old one that I might still have at home.

Re: Foursquare error

I can't get past this error to get to the applications section.

I went to fourquare.com and deleted my account.    I hope this helps.  Rebooting now.
