GMAIL App download problem

Hi, I have a problem downloading the GMAIL app on my 8310.

I've been using this app for the past year and recently it didn't refresh with new messages. I tried deleting it and re-downloading it but failed. A message came up during the download saying "This program requires a working data connection. Please check your signal strength and connection settings and then restart the application".

 

Anyone knows what I should be doing?

Having the same problem here, also having problems accesing app store and using programs bought from there. Seems to be allot if it about right now

both of you :

do you get data as usual ?

on the top right corner of the screen, next to the antenna bars, there is some text displayed. Is it in caps or in small fonts ?

 

3G EDGE 1XEV GPRS

as opposed to :

gsm edge 3g 1xEV grps
