Google Talk is really important to me.  But on my device it keep on disconnecting eventually (the longest was 3 days) with message:

"Unable to contact server". ... something like that.

Any explanation?  Anybody experience the same thing?

Device:  9320

OS: 7.1.0.398

I don't observe that on my Curve.
do you have a good network connection ?
are you using 3G or WiFi ?

I use 3G.  I admit connection isn't always smooth.  But I think this disconnecting thing is too often.  

Is google talk on blackberry that sensitive?  My friend's android system doesn't encounter this problem  considering we are at the same area.

depends on the carrier...
I think that when you are disconnected, GTalk does not reconnect you.

I've tried remember password and automatically sign me in checked.

you can change carrier

or you can maybe find an application like shortcutme ,which can create macros.

if I were in your situation, I could code a macro that would be triggered whenever you are connected to the network again, and that will search for all open apps. If GTalk is not among them, then launch it.
