Downloaded applications for BlackBerry® Smartphones and Tablets

HI,

I downloaded google maps and set the apn setting as given on blackberry my service provider. Still its giving error saying "Serious error. Please restart" on the term and conditions page.

My device is Bold 9790 with 7.1 platform. 

Carrier is AirTel India.

Please can you help me out in this issue.

Hi Sagar,

Did you subscribe for BlackBerry data plan from your mobile service provider? This is a must requirement to make google maps works using mobile network.

yes I have subscribes everything mail box, BBM etc are working fine.

remove the APN settings and start opening the app using mobile network (not wi-fi).

Have tried this, also reinstalled software, still no joy. Still get Serious Error on the T& C page.

Yes I down  loaded from there.  sent text to my phone and installed.  All went ok except the last bit then get serious error message and the maps do not load.  Had this before but then had to reset BB and now it does not work

Try this -

When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which resolves minor issues with the BlackBerry device.

After that use this link -

Unfortunately both those links in UK do not provide the google map page.  I have done as you suggested.  From UK the link is :

m.google.co.uk/maps  - it down loads V4.5.3

After setting permisions

get to a Terms and Conditions page - here it hangs and a messahe "Serious Error and Restart"

Have then uninstalled, rebooted the BB and tried again with the same result.

Also tried down loading and then rebooting the BB followed by install.  Same result, except now no error but cannot get to the page to accept the T&cs

it may be that the UK versions is not supported for BBs, It is probably to do with the T&C in UK.
