Hello All,
I recently got my 9700 and have downloaded all my apps and the phone is great. However, when ever I try to download FB, I get a message saying "This application requires the following module, which is not installed:
net_rim_bb_facebook_lib". Any ideas?

How are you trying to download Facebook, via the PC or over the air?
Try here, take your BlackBerry browser to www.blackberry.com/facebook

I go to the URL u mentioned on my BB 9700's browser, that's how I've been trying to download it. And I cant download it on my computer because I use a mac and the Blackberry website only supports IE : (
Any other suggestions? Maybe a way to get the missing file?

Hey Xander,
I would uninstall it if I had it to begin with. I never had FB on this device and I couldn't download it to begin with because it always gives me the message above.
Thanks for the advice.

Ok Gents,
It seems I have the solution. I'll post it here just in case any one else needs it.
Download FB 1.7 (it seems to have the missing file now) if it works with your phone/plan then great. But if you need 1.6 then go back and download 1.6. The message would have disappeared and you'll be able to download it. It'll ask you if you want to replace 1.7 with 1.6, say yes. Then reboot.
Enjoy,
G
PS. I'd like to thank my friend and local BB Guru for helping me with this.
