I attempted to install Personal Tarot e-deck v1, by Brucepro.net
I repeatedly get Install Error 0008.
I tried setting the Security/Development Mode to ON, but it made no difference.
I still get Install Error 0008.
The Security Page tells me that the Development Address is 169.254.0.1, and that the Debug Token is Not Installed.
Juden Bruce is trying to replicate my experience on his PlayBook.
I have a 32Gb wifi PlayBook, with OS 2.0.1.358.

I get the error on 9mm HD, which is a large install, and on WorldCraft, which is a small (2MB) install. Running latest OS 2.0.1.668. This does not seem to be a general error as WorldCraft loads on another Playbook with same OS, same memory. I suspect something specific to this device. For some reason, Blackberry refuses to give me support on it, even though it is less than 1 year old.

RIM has a new OS in Beta release. To get it, you can register your Playbook PIN at this website:
https://developer.blackberry.com/register/
Then, within a few minutes, you can check for updates on your Playbook and upgrade to this OS. I did this and resolved some of the issues for smaller apps. I still cannot install large apps (such as 9mm HD). But it resolved the issue with WorldCraft. It may resolve your install issues.

I just updated the OS today to 2.1.0.1032. After it updated, I tried updating Tiny Bird (purchased version) to 2.0 and got that 0008 errror. After updating several other apps successfully and rebooting, Tiny Bird 2.0 showed as being installed. Now, when I launch it, it loads the Android player and asks me if I want to allow connections to the Internet and Device Identifying information so I Accept. It says Loading, please wait and then crashes Tiny Bird and the Android Player. I tried rebooting but the same thing is happening. I installed Tiny Bird - Free and it runs fine. I tried removing a 700 MB movie to make space and I tried Developer mode with no luck. Anyone have any ideas? I suppose I could delete and re-add the game, but the price went up since I bought it. Would they now want more $? Would that guarantee it would run? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I hadn't yet actually tried to run Tiny Birds after the update to 2.0 until I just read your post...I have the exact same problem and am also running 2.1.0.1032.

I kept trying to upgrade Tiny Bird before the OS update the other day and it kept failing with the 0008 error but at least after the failed updates the game still ran. Now I can't even play the game.
