Hi there!
Please see this page for the AppWorld System requirements:
You must meet all conditions...you will likely need to contact your carrier to find out if they are making available to you the AppWorld paid apps. They may require a different service plan from them.
If that does not work, then please return to these forums (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/) and register an account so that we can provide you with direct assistance.
Cheers!

Cheers! Oh...and FWIW...I am not a RIM employee...and these forums are user-to-user...not user-to-RIM.

I have the latest software and I contacted my service provider, but no joy ![]()
Please assist further if possible?
I checked which countries blackberry app world is available on via the site but South Africa is not even listed! This can't be correct because we are able to access the free apps...![]()

When you say "no joy" regarding contacting your service provider, can you expand on that? What, exactly, did you ask them. What, exactly, did they say?
The carriers definitely participate in AppWorld and are indeed responsible for delivering it's content to their end users...so I'd suggest pressing them a bit more. For instance, if you did not get escalated at least to their BB Support Team, then you only had a generic first level person...who would not likely have the in depth knowledge about AppWorld and BBs to really provide you good insight. Plus, if you escalate to their BB Support Team, then can tell you for sure what you should be seeing -- or they can also escalate you all the way into RIM at no cost to you...since we here aren't RIM, we can only tell you what we know, but that cannot be considered as true RIM inside knowledge...to get that, you must go through the escalation steps via your carrier. That's the way it works.
Good luck and let us know!
