Earlier today I attempted my first purchase through the Blackberry App World of the Pocket 10C SE Scientific Calculator 18.104.22.168 for my Blackberry Bold.
I received a window that said:
There were problems completing this purchase.
Unable to obtain License Key.
Please Contact Blackberry App World Customer Support. (Error ID 30509)
I also received an email from Paypal that my account was charged $6.99.
The problem is that I do not have the software on my Blackberry Bold and I was charged $6.99 for that privilege.
I have since successfully downloaded other free programs with no problem.
How do I proceed? I don't want to pay twice for the software.
Is this how to contact "Blackberry App World Customer Support"?
It would be nice to have a simpler way to contact Customer support.

BES - corporate
I downloaded the App and have been trying all day to use the BB App, but kept receiving message that I could not connect to the server and to check my network connections.
I hesitantly deleted the Desktop IPPP located in the service book. I immediately was able to open the application software from my BB.
This deletion has not affected any other applications.

Here's some advice for those who are on a BES.
Your IT department can restrict you from using certain functions on the device.
If the device is activated on the BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Sever) be careful. Big Brother is watching you.
The reason I say this is I installed BlackBerry Unite which is like the home/small business style of the Enterprise.
With the Unite I can see my call log, the websites that I visited, i can restrict calling, MMS, SMS, web browsing. I don't think that it would be a good idea to be messing around with the service books especially if you're on a BES unless a RIM specialist tells you so.

Just wanted to let you know we are listening, despite our silence.
It seems like you have a lot of thinking and acting to do if you've been listening. Your product comes off as someplace between the Storm's fraternal twin (premature birth) and a junk show or B movie.
Come on. No stating whether or not having the sellers state their device compatibility? Apple's cheap apps are fine if you buy junk. $10+ for unknown?? Makes me glad my return date for this phone has not come up.
Please get it together fast.

I concur with kmistry comments. What I see and hear from this forum, its pretty obvious that RIM is un-prepared for this Store Front. Details on available Apps is very limited e.g. will Slacker work in Canada? Unless this is an upgraded version, Slacker was only good in the US reading from other forums.
I think I will await till RIM resolve these issues. Frankly a huge disappointment. Maybe they should learn from people running Itune App Store, you think? I guess it will take time for RIm iron out these problems.

Ok, possible fix (but not mine, this is from crackberry forums):
I remembered this when it came to Slacker first coming out...
If you go into service books and delete Desktop [IPPP], then try App world again it will work!
For those of you who don't know go to Options>Advanced Options>Service Books, its its in there, good luck and happy surfing!
I set up BES again and was no longer able to use the app world, doing this fix allowed it to work again.
Verified! I deleted the Desktop IPPP service book entry and I immediately got into AppWorld while still activated to my BES. Prior to this I was getting the cannot connect to app world server error.
I think the problem is going to be with people who do not utilize MDS on their BES.
Also very unfortunate that overall RIM has not communicated with the Blackberry community on a lot of issues, especially regarding the Storm. You have to listen to people who claim to be RIM or partner employees that semi-leak information about internal testing to even have a glimmer of hope.
On the other hand Apple has public pressers where they preview new OS betas and let everyone know what, for the most part, is going on.

If I goto Options->Advanced Options->service Book
I dont see anything on mine for Desktop [IPPP] and on mine I still get the error Cannot Connect to World Server Please Verify your network connections and try again. I havent deleted this service Book Before either.
I am on BES also.
