SlingPlayer Mobile (SlingBox) not working on BlackBerry Bold 9000

Remote viewing doesn’t work on BlackBerry.  Receive the following message:  “SlingPlayer cannot connect to your Slingbox.  Please check the internet connection on your phone and try again.”

 

Blackberry Bold 9000 running on the AT&T network and remote viewing of my Slingbox works via my laptop

Sequence of events when launching the SlingPlayer Mobile

-          Checking Registration - successful

-          Logging into Sling Account- successful

-          Retreiving Slingbox – successful

-          Select Connect –

o   Locating Mobile – apparently successful

o   Connecting on Mobile – following message received:  “SlingPlayer cannot connect to your Slingbox.  Please check the internet connection on your phone and try again.”

Contacted SlingBox support, the technician was able to get his Blackberry to connect to my slingbox through my router, and, as I already mentioned, I can connect to my Slingbox remotely through the same router.

 

Does anyone have a suggestion on what internet connection on my phone needs to be changed to make this work?
