Top Free and Categories is not showing up in App World 1.1

Hi, I have a Curve 8330 with Alltel. Here is a picture of my problem  as you can see I am not seeing any top free apps. This is also happening with the Categories section. But the Top Paid works fine.

Re: Top Free and Categories is not showing up in App World 1.1

HI there!

There have been some issues with the AppWorld services lately...most are reported to be cleared up. Please try again. Also, please try removing and re-installing AppWorld...some have reported that to be helpful. In addition...RIM has released AppWorld version 1.1.0.15...it is highly recommended to be on that version.

Also please try a hard reset: With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Cheers!

Re: Top Free and Categories is not showing up in App World 1.1

Thank you for replying. I downloaded the .15 version of App World, the first time I downloaded it failed to install. So I redownloaded, installed, and rebooted. I loaded appworld up again to see if it worked still, well the top free was still blank. So I done a quickpull reset. loaded everything up and started app world only to get a white loading screen with a green bar moving to the right. after about 10 mins of loading I get an error: " Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the BlackBerry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again. " and then and Ok button to press. Hoping that there is a solution. It isn't my service provider I had almost full bars.

OK -- try this process...

1) Remove, on the BB, AppWorld -- if it prompts for a reboot, allow it to do so

2)  Do the batt-pull reboot exactly as I described above

3) Get a new link and DL/Install AppWorld:

http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/appworld/download.jsp#tab_tab_download

4) Again, if it prompts for a reboot, allow it.

5) Do another batt-pull reboot

6) Allow your BB to fully reboot (wait until it's in normal response mode -- I have to wait about a minute even after the screen makes me thing it's all done...it responds very slow if I don't wait).

7) Try running AppWorld now...
