Whatsapp problems on BB9360

I need someone that can help me with a Blackberry 9360 Curve that I bought for my wife. She is not connected to BIS and we experience problems where Whatsapp seems to disconnect from the internet and does not receive new messages. You have to disconnect the battery and restart the phone before it receives Whatsapp messages.
