I downloaded bbm 7 last night that was fine when I go into it u have to agree to terms then enter ur blackberry ID which I did and since then all it says is "associating BBM with ur blackberry ID". I've rebooted several times but still sayin the same I thought I would try n delete then reinstall but there's no option anywhere to delete bbm someone please help me its drivin me mad!!

In my case, I as well cannot get BBM to complete all of the installation steps (in my case, it has to do with the fact that I have no active data plan from my mobile service provider...such is a prerequisite for BBM, so I do not expect it to actually function on my device). But, in your case, removal (per the above) and trying again may be prudent.

Did it ask for and successfully update the BB Identity app as well? If that did not succeed, then you may need to force that.

Same thing just happened to me! Hangs forever on "Associating BBM with your BlackBerry ID". Reboot has not worked either. This BBM update doesn't work!!. Now I'm not able to acces my chats. Please say how to fix this, I'm locked-out from my BBM due to installing this update.

I have done it now anyway I deleted bbm from applications manager in options then went back 2 app world and downloaded again n it went thru fine!!

But by deliting it, didn't you loose your contacts?
