downloaded app stopped and now will not start again

I was downloading the new Facebook app and it downloaded 3/4 of the way, but then stopped.  Now I can't get it going again.  I've tried everything, clearing memory/cache, reset system, even deleted the BB App World and reinstalled it...still nothing.  I need to clear all downloaded apps from the My Apps list even that current one "in processes", but I don't know how to do it.  Can anyone please help?

This is related to an issue that we are currently investigatng. Can I get the following information from you?

- Carrier
- Model
- OS
- App world client version
- Are you on BIS/BES/Both?

This happened to me this morning while downloading "Viigo for BlackBerry".  It stopped at 1198/1238KB.  I can pause and resume but it does not complete the download.  I have tried all that was stated above.

 

Carrier:  Verizon

Model:  Storm 9530

OS:  4.7

App World Client Version: 1.0.0.29

Are you on BIS/BES/Both?  I don't know what this means.

Tried deleting App World again and redownloading and installing.  That worked!

I have the exact same problem.  I am trying to install 'Poynt' off of the Top Downloads page.  When I got to the 'My World' screen, it simply shows 'Poynt' as 'Paused'.  When I select the option to 'Resume' it says 'Downoading', I see the data arrows moving for a bit, then it just hangs there at at 0/379 KB.  Eventually it goes back to 'Paused' and the fun cycle can continue again and again and again. And again.

 

I have also tried removing the 'BlackBerry App World', taking out the battery, re-installing 'BlackBerry App World', and it still stays the same...stuck in the downloading abyss.  It doesn't give me the option to 'install' the application again off of the app page, only 'Reviews' 'Recommend' and 'Screenshots'.

 

I have even tried downloading the app direclty from the Vendor, then opening up 'BlackBerry App World' to see if it shows as downloaded yet (it does not), then deleting the app from the <Options>,<Advanced Options>, <Applications> menu.  Still no workie.

Try uninstalling App World again and instead of confirming a reboot, just select no.  Then pull the battery with the power on.  When it comes back, reinstall App World and see if that works.

Still didn't work...same as before.  Says 'downloading' but no progress made at all.  Suck in the downloading abyss of death.

No resolution so far.  RIM has been dark for a while now on the subject....
