Re: google latitude login

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Is there an error message when you try? The exact and complete content of that might give some better hints beyond "won't let me log in"...

Thanks and let us know!

After I attempt to login, at the bottom of the screen where it should say you have logged into your google account. It says you are logged out of your google account.

Re: google latitude login

Interesting...I haven't used Google Latitude in a long time, but I do know that bit by bit, Google has been removing services from BB support...maybe they did the same for Latitude? Have you searched on the Google forums yet?

Re: google latitude login

I have and I felt like I was chasing my tail. The only thing that I diffinitavly learned was others were having the same problem. The best useful solution I found on other forums was get help from Verizon. After 45 mins, I still had the problemm.

Re: google latitude login

Well, if others are having the same problem, then the cause could be either at BlackBerry or at Google. If at BlackBerry, then the proper support path was indeed with Verizon, who can escalate cases up to BlackBerry that require enhanced support. There is no other way to formally receive any support from BlackBerry for anything at all (well, not for free).

So, working with VZW, what happened? Did you or they just give up? If so, sorry to tell you that persistence is what will be needed...if VZW can't resolve it, then they need to escalate it up to BlackBerry (formally, via the channels only they have access to).

Good luck!

Re: google latitude login

FYI...you are not alone, and it's not strictly a carrier-only problem:

Hence, formal support escalation from carriers up to BlackBerry is needed...assuming of course it's not what I suspected earlier (simply Google shutting it down).

Good luck!

Re: google latitude login

Having ecactly the same problem as winerj posted, and my carrier is AT&T not Verizon. So the problem doesn't seem to be carrier dependent. My problems started 2 weeks or so ago after a pushed update for the Blackberry.

Re: google latitude login

As such, my prior advice stands...contact your mobile service provider for formal support and escalation up to BlackBerry. That is the only way for anything to be formally recognized and dealt with by BlackBerry. And the more carrier support escalations go up, the more attention it will get.

Good luck!
