purchased app which don't appeare on the device

Hi;

I bought an app from blackberry world on my device BB9900 and my credit card was charged for that; but the issue is that this app has not been downloaded on my device ? What shall I do ?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I suggest that you clear the AppWorld application cache:

1. Open App World

2. Go to My World

3. Follow one (and only one!) of these steps:


3a. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and then press, in sequence R, then S, then T

3b. For Touch Screen Only BBs -- Hold the num-lock (!?123) button so it locks and then press, in sequence 3, then 4, then (

3c. For newer (e,g., OS6 and 7) BB's, see this KB:

    • KB24714 How to clear the BlackBerry App World cache

4. AppWorld should close.

5. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot

6. Now return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it may be sluggish while it re-synchronizes) and check this:

  • KB17625 How to install or transfer previously purchased applications from BlackBerry App World to a BlackBerry smartphone

I have followed all the steps for blackberry app cashe clear also I followed the steps for how to reinstall previous purchased items but the app which I am looking for is not appearing their .

Hmmm...just to be sure, you switched your on-device MyWorld view from "Installed" to "Uninstalled"?

 

If so, and the app is not there, then please try this sequence:

1) Remove AppWorld from your BB

  • KB10040 How to view or remove installed applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
  • If it requests that you reboot the BB, do so

2) Do a Batt-Pull reboot (power on, remove battery, wait, insert battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.

3) Install (on your BB) a fresh copy of AppWorld

4) Do another Batt-Pull reboot

5) See if it now works.



In some cases, it has been discovered that installs/updates (from AppWorld obtained apps) require additional steps in order to install the update. If the update will not install, please attempt this:

  1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > blackberry_logo.jpg > Delete
  2. AppWorld > MyWorld > Login > highlight the app (if it shows at all, in any state) > blackberry_logo.jpg > Delete
  3. Use either your PC (via Mass Storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > blackberry_logo.jpg > Explore) and find any references (folders, files) to the app. Delete whatever you find. Search both your Device Memory as well as your Media Card.
  4. Use the above AppWorld user guide link to re-install the app -- a new registration/activation key should then be provided

Failing any of those remedies, your next step would be formal support, which you obtain by ringing up your mobile service provider and, if they cannot resolve it, receiving from them escalation to BlackBerry for enhanced support. You cannot bypass your carrier to receive support from BlackBerry...you must be escalated by them up to BlackBerry.

Thank you so much “sdgardne” for your reply and also to be patient with me in order to find a way to help.

I have followed all the above steps but nothing change :smileysad: the app which I purchase is still not apearing anywhere

One thing new I want to inform you is that after re-installing AppWorld and after login into my bb I'd in my installed app list there is showing now 0 app although they are installed on my device and I am using them .

I re-do the clear cache

I restore all the software to my install list in AppWorld but again not the one I purchase.

After all these the reason then maybe with the software it self , contact the company and waiting to hear from them. Thank you again and again

Yes, these are all the steps I can think of for your situation. Hopefully the developer will be able to help. If you cannot get any help from them, then you would seek refund of the purchase either via your payment method (e.g., PayPal, bank card, etc.) or by ringing up your mobile service provider, who should accept your request and escalate it up to BlackBerry for processing.
