Hy I just got a nofication in the app world that there's a BBM new version and I shud upgrade ,I did and now my BBM is not active and the screen is just blue and blank,nothing is on it....

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

After the reboot, return to your BBM icon, open it and allow it to sync.

I would advise that you be connected to a WiFi network when you do this.

9780-Orange with Os V.4.0.21. I got a notification to upgrade my BBM and when I did,my BBM icon was lost from my phone so I move to application management in Option and delete it n after a while I reinstalled bt the BBM icon is still not showing.Please what do I do to get it back

This is not correct, there is no OS v4.0 on the 9780.

And your forum profile states "My Device: Bb8900"

It was a mistake,the device model number is 9780 and not 8900.please how do I change it on the forums profile.

Do this,

• from your Options > Device > Application, scroll to and delete BBMessenger.
• Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
• The, after reboot, using your BlackBerry browser, go to www.blackberry.com/bbm and download/install again.

Toward the top of this forum page, click on MY SETTINGS > Personal Profile > Personal Infomation.

I did as you said yesterday yet bt the BBM icon is still not showing on my home page and I deleted it again,rebot after a minute and yet the icon didn't show up but when I checked on blackberry appworld,I still didn't not see the BBM as an installed application.pls help me because I need my BBM back.Thanks a lot for your concern.
