Re: AppWorld problem.

Ok, you did this:

For BlackBerry® Device Software 5.0:

  1. On the BlackBerry smartphone, select Options > Advanced Options > TCP/IP.
  2. Put a check next to APN Settings Enabled.
  3. Within the APN field, enter Internet
  4. Save the settings
  5. Remove the battery from the BlackBerry smartphone
  6. Insert the battery into the BlackBerry smartphone
  7. Open BlackBerry App World
  8. Attempt upgrade

Note: Once completed, revert APN settings back to normal.

And this?

For BlackBerry Device Software 5.0:

  1. On the Home Screen of the BlackBerry smartphone select Options.
  2. Select Security Options.
  3. Select Advanced Security Options.
  4. Scroll down to TLS.
  5. Change the option for Permit Insecure Renegotiation to Yes.
  6. Press the Menu key.
  7. Select Save.
  8. Download the BlackBerry ID application again.

Re: AppWorld solution.

"I would also want to ask does the internet speed depend upon the update?"
I don't understand your question.

In those two instructions above, could you tell me what error you're getting, or what didn't work?

Tell me also if you are connected to wifi or not?

Re: AppWorld solution.

Then see if you can try the update while you are connected to a wifi router.

Re: AppWorld solution.

@abyola1, what specific error is it giving you?

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
