Re: BlackBerry App World additional support

Great! thanks. that helps!

So, Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

Give it five minutes or so after reboot, and try AppWorld again.

What else have you tried and I'll not suggest those. Smiley Wink

This works for most.

  • On your Z10, go to your Music or Games icon.
  • Tap the lower right three dots overflow icon and touch BlackBerry World.
  • Now, BlackBerryWorld should start for you.

BlackBerry stated this issue was resolved yesterday, but there could be residual users still seeing issues. The process above should resolve it for you.

If it does work for you, I don't know what else, perhaps you should call O2 and inquire.

Re: BlackBerry App World additional support

I'm also having the same problem.   Originally my access to app world stopped after a software upgrade about a month ago.  I would keep getting an error message code 40820 (can't connect to the network server).  I followed all of the recommendations here on the forum about using only wifi, logging into the web site for BB world, removing the battery, etc...  Nothing worked, so I deleted App World and want to reinstall, but now it is impossible.

I have tried multiple ways, including having the link sent via email to my phone.  I go to the BB world app page and see the screen with the "download now" button at the bottom; I click 'download now' and get a language selection page.  Next I select English and click "next' and then it redirects to a screen and says "software not found - you have attempted to access a software download page that does not exist.  Please check the URL and try again."

I have tried multiple methods and can never complete the download.  Of note, in the two download pages where you click "download now" and "next" there is a small red "X" in a box in the left side of the page where I suppose a logo should be present.    Several times I have also noticed a message when I back out of the pages saying "download complete, your app has been successfully installed and is ready for use.  please go to the home screen."   That is very suspect because the app is not on my home screen and there didn't seem to be any sort of actual download.

I'm using a BB Bold 9930.

Thanks,

Re: BlackBerry App World additional support

Thank you for the link but I have already tried all three of those fixes.  I have tried turning off the mobile connection and using only wifi - still can't download appworld.  I've also done resolutions 2 and 3 with no success.

I have also tried going to the app world web site on the BB browser and I get to the point where it is asking for my username/password before downloading and then I get the error "it appears that you do not have cookies enabled.  please enable cookies and try again."  However, I DO have cookies enabled and am using the BB browser and still get the error code.
