Gmail App Not in Applications Folder

Hi, I just got my 8900 yesterday.  To get full Gmail IMAP support I downloaded the Gmail app from http://m.google.com/mail.  It seems to work just fine, except for the fact that I don't see the application icon anywhere in my Applications folder.  The only way I can launch it is by using the BlackBerry menu and selecting "Switch Application."

How can I get it into my Applications folder so I can put it on my home screen?

Re: Gmail App Not in Applications Folder

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

By default, GMail usually goes into the Downloads folder rather than the Applications folder. Once you find it, you should be able to move the icon wherever you want -- just highlight it (don't click) and press the BBKey...there should be "Move" and "Move to Folder" options.

Re: Gmail App Not in Applications Folder

That did the trick!  Of course I feel silly that it was so simple, LOL.  Thanks!
