Referring to RIM's article below, RIM has come up with a workaround which by the way is no solution as it hangs while confirming my log in identity and hence does not let me into the Appworld.  Don't waste your time with this work around.  Again, it just shows the thoroughness of Rim's test before putting out another premature update!
I ended up going back to royy.com/otaarchive to download the ....29 version.
RIM please test your updates thoroughly, instead of making us, the common user test for you.

Re: Uncaught exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFound Error

Well said Aztec. I won't be surprised if they're not bought in the next 12 months. Current management is clueless but the brand is still very valuable if the right people were put in place to turn it around.

Re: Uncaught exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFound Error

I upgraded to BlackBerry App World 3.1.0.58 and I still get the Uncaught exception:java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError and the icon for BB App World is missing.

What can I do to fix this?

Re: Uncaught exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFound Error

Mark-L,
Ok go back to http://rroyy.com/otaarchive/ There's no more v.3.0.1.29 but try v3.0.2.7. So all the best.
