Unknown BB messenger requests

Since yesterday I have gotten about 150 messenger requests from people I don't know.

I haven't posted my pin anywhere and until yesterday when I had to start deleting some of the requests I hadn't even used BB messenger, so I'm a a loss as to how they are even getting my information.

Is there some way to block the requests or just completely remove messenger from my phone?

Re: Unknown BB messenger requests

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Many possibilities here:

  • Someone else could have publicly posted your PIN
  • Someone else could have intended to post their own PIN, but mistyped it, resulting in yours
  • Spammers could be sending requests to auto-generated PINs, and got lucky with yours

There may be more, but those come to mind quickly.
