Re: installing applications on my bb

Where are you downloading this from?

And at Options > Device > Application Management, you do not see it listed?

Re: installing applications on my bb

I downloaded them from brothersoft, getjar and mobipocket. I did not see it listed in application management. After downloading them I found them in my media card, in my files. I tried to open them but was told that the phone was "unable to display files". How do I download a free pdf reader that will work on my phone?.

Re: installing applications on my bb

Ok, begging the next question, exactly what is the file type of the files you downloaded to your Media Card...

or, what is the exact file names?

Are they *.jad, *.alx, *.cod files?

Sorry, those file types won't open on a BlackBerry... this is not your father's DOS or WIN OS. :smileywink:

Re: installing applications on my bb

It means that zip and exe files are Windows or DOS programs.

Your BlackBerry does not run on Windows or DOS.

If you want to install a PDF reader, you will need a valid BlackBerry install file as I mentioned above.

From your Media Card, you will need a JAD file.

Re: installing applications on my bb

Hiya Ersay, I do hope you are continuing to trend your message. I hope you have a home computervand if so, download the file you are attempting to view/run on your BB. Next, view it from the pc and get some results. As for a pdf reader on your BB try this site; "www.goodereader.com/apps". It is fairly new to me so I can't offer any known titles to look for. I wish you success in your attempts!
