The BlackBerry® Administration Service cannot connect to the external directory

Everything is working great for a few weeks now.  But I am trying to add one more user and I get the error ... 

 

The BlackBerry® Administration Service cannot connect to the external directory.

 

I have no idea what to do about this?

On the BES, check the Microsoft Active Directory integration and then go into Manage Microsoft Active Directory access.   Many times this is caused by a password change used for the administration account, or a change in environment setting.  Hopefully this helps.
