BES and BIS features

Hi There

I am interested in getting the Z10 or later the Q10 phone. My problem is that I have received information that the Z10 does not support BIS and then probably also not BES. My first and foremost reason for using blackberry for many years already is for the BES option.

Re: BES and BIS features

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

BIS = no. BIS is indeed eliminated for BB10, and on some carriers has even been reported to block functions if it's active on the users account (e.g., they shifted from a pre-BB10 device, but did not have their carrier remove the BIS subscription from the account).

BES = yes, but for full functionality, BES10 is required.

Good luck!

Re: BES and BIS features

Thanks for the quick response and warm welcome.

This makes sense and will definitely help me with my decision. Glad to know that there is still a good reason to stay a BB-Man! For my type of use I will probably wait for the Q10 and cannot wait to make use of BES10.
