Re: RETURN OUR Z10's and let Blackberry. SINK

No problem, I understood the confustion on the posting signature line. Thanks for the reminder that I needed to change it.

I can't speak for BlackBerry on what's coming, BlackBerry only rarely speaks on coming fixes.

1. Please explain your notifications issue. Is this in the Hub you get a notification of a new email and dont' know which email account to touch to read?

2. Delete on server/Delete on handheld issue: This likely won't be available in the future.  The Z10 uses Active Sync technology and simply the smartphone only reflects email on the phone from what it sees ON your email server. Delete it on the phone, it deletes on the server. That's the way this technology works.  If you want an email saved for future reference, don't delete it. Or file it away in a different folder to remove it from your main inbox.

Re: RETURN OUR Z10's and let Blackberry. SINK

Notification problem, in previous OS you go in and setup separate sounds for each email account. For instance I have three accounts setup one for personal and one for each one of my two business. Each one I have set on a different. Notification sound so when they come in and I am on the road I no if it is important or personal. I have been using this since 2003 with the same sounds and now it is gone. I checked my wife's iphone and they even have it. All we can do is setup one sound for all messages.  You could set the volume level for each notification and how many times it would chime. This is a must to get back and you will notice lots of posts on this.

Re: RETURN OUR Z10's and let Blackberry. SINK

Yes I agree totally.  I also have 4 email accounts and would like a different sound for each.  Not just one sound for all emails.  I also like having different colours for different things on my phone.  I hope a develper is working on this app.

Also, I have an open ticket with Blackberry, it has been escalted to a level which is called a DT Pass.  From what I am told, this is very urgent and must have some merit to make it this far.  My ticket is still open and I'm hopeful they address leaving a message on the server.  Android and Apple have this feature, my Z10 needs it also.  I love the phone and hopefully this will be address soon.  I am following up tomorrow with Blackberry Technical Support and will keep everyone posted.

Here's the email I received from Blackberry:

Thank you for contacting BlackBerry Technical Support.

We have created  PR289164 / DT6767844  - PR and DT for - feature request to have  more flexible delete email functionality on BB10 as well as to address a hard delete issue.  This is remaining open.

I agree totally. The Z10 certainly lacks customized notifications, and you're not the only one who has noticed this!
