2 Questions: Setting up calendar recurrent event & Automatic unlocking

I have a 8700 phone.

1. I need to set a bi-weekly recurring appointment in my calendar. However, there's no option to select on a bi-weekly mode. The only available recurrence options are None, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly. Please help!

2. I set my phone to "Lock Handheld Upon Holstering" (under security option). When I take it off from the holster, I have to press * unlock to enable it, which I find it too cumbersome. Is there a way to "Unlock the Handheld" automatically when take it off from the holster?

Thanks,

Rob

Re: 2 Questions: Setting up calendar recurrent event & Automatic unlocking

Hi and welcome to the forums!

The only option you would have on the calendar is to set

two reoccurring appointments one for each day.

There is no quick unlock, you have you have to press the keys

to unlock,

Not the answers you wanted to hear!

Re: 2 Questions: Setting up calendar recurrent event & Automatic unlocking

1. I have OS 4.5 and still no option of fortnightly reoccurance unless I create it in my outlook and sync it up.

2. The whole point of lock handheld is that you have to unlock it.

However you can change it to not lock when it is in holster, Security>General setting> CHANGE LOCK UPON HOLSTERING > YES

sHello,

yes it's easy. Just desactivate the lock upon holstering.

when your blackberry is in its holster, there is a little magnet that tells him "you are inside me" so the blackberry's keyboard and screen do not work as long as the blackberry is in the holster. As son as you take it out of the holster, the screen and keyboard are available for you to type.

This works for the Blackberry holster, and also for some other pouches/holsters from other companies, provided they have the magnet

I am having a problem with mine.  It does lock when I put it in the holster, but I always have to unlock it manually when I unholster it.  Is there some other setting for this?
