A clarification about email receiving part

Hey Guys,

 

As I've learned blackberry download only the mail header in 2 or 4KB in size & the rest upon user requests by opening.

 

But, I'm just curious to clarify that when we receive an email to the device whether full contents will be downloaded or only the header will be downloaded.. also, tell if the full mail is downloading by anychance how to restrict only to download the headers??
