Approved way to wipe device with broken display

Whoops, dropped by Bold while at the gym and trashed the screen.  I have a replacement and I'm all sync'd up, but I'd like to wipe the broken one before sending it for recycling.

Is there an approved way of doing this using BB Desktop for example?

Sure. You will need to use BBSAK or JL_Cmder to wipe the device the device. Follow the instructions here:

For BBSAK, here is the link: http://bbsak.org/

Re: Approved way to wipe device with broken display

Thanks for the pointers.

Actually, I just deliberately tried the wrong password 10X from Blackberry Desktop and that claims to have done it!
