I am trying to register for a Blackberry ID but I'm encountering an error. On the Blackberry ID - Signup page (https://blackberryid.blackberry.com/bbid/createaccountstep2), I enter my info and click to continue but I receive the following error : 

• Username is an invalid email format. Please provide a valid email address to continue.
• Screen Name contains invalid characters or text.

I have tried to register with two emails, <Personal Content Removed>  and I recieve the error with both emails. I have no idea why it thinks these are invalid email addresses, but some assistance would be appreciated.

For the username field, are you entering an email address or a nickname? 

Send me a private message with your BlackBerry PIN and the email addresses you are trying to use. I can look further into this for you

i'm a new user from italy and i 've the same problem. I've tried with three different email but doesn't work. I've tried to register directly from my bb pearl but doesn't work so i've tried from bb site but i can't register my id

I also have this error. When I try to sign up via app world it spits out some error but when I sign up online it says invalid email.

I recommend you to signup using a browser on the online website. Can you give us the exact error message?

On the browser it says email is not valid. I get an error message saying I can't connect to the Blackberry services.

Im having the same problem here. I've tried Hot mail emails...

Screen name should contain letters. My screen name for my BBID is "Xandrex".
Username should contain an email address. For example my username is xandrex_bbid@m4x.org , which is a real email address, and RIM can send me messages to that address.

I have the same problem. I receive exactly this message:

I am trying to register for a BB id using the same email I registered with here.

I have tried two other emails also...

I've used Internet explorer and Google Chrome.

Only to receive the same message.

Please email me for any info needed.

I have also subscribed to the feed to stay up to date.
